1GD-FTV Assembled Cylinder Head — Ready to Install
Brand-new assembled 1GD-FTV cylinder head for Toyota HiLux, HiAce, Prado, Fortuner and Granvia with 2.8L turbo diesel engine. Professionally assembled, valve-to-seat compression tested, and ready to bolt on — gasket set and head bolts sold separately. Camshafts, rocker arms and lifters transfer from your original head.
Fits: Toyota HiLux (2015–2025), HiAce (2017–2025), Prado (2015–2025), Fortuner (2015–2025), Granvia (2019–2025) — Engine code 1GD-FTV, 2.8L turbo diesel.
Important: Camshafts, rocker arms and lifters are not included — transfer your original components from the old head to the new one during installation. Do I need to swap my camshafts across?
Yes — camshafts, rocker arms and lifters are not included. Transfer your original components from the old head to the new one as part of the installation process.
Do I need a new gasket set and head bolts?
Yes — the 1GD-FTV uses torque-to-yield (TTY) stretch bolts which are single-use only, and a new MLS head gasket is always recommended. These are not included with this product — see our complete Cylinder Head Kit if you'd prefer everything in one order.

Are the cylinder heads supplied assembled?
Most are supplied assembled, with the camshaft, valves, springs and seals already fitted so they are ready for installation. Some applications require the original camshaft and rocker gear to be transferred across. Confirm the details in the ‘What’s Included’ section for the product you are viewing.
What will I receive with my order?
The contents vary by application. Most complete cylinder-head kits include the assembled head, a VRS gasket set and new head bolts. Some products require reuse of the original camshaft and rockers. For engines using an MLS gasket, we supply the thickest available specification. Gasket-set-only products include the head gasket, manifold gaskets, valve stem seals, rocker cover gasket, head bolts and required O-rings. Check the product’s ‘What’s Included’ section for the exact contents.
What warranty is included?
Every cylinder head includes a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. We carefully select our heads and stand behind the quality supplied.
How can I confirm it fits my vehicle?
Use the ‘Fits’ section to check the compatible make, model, year and engine code. If you are still unsure, send us your VIN before ordering and we can confirm the application.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Orders are dispatched from Perth or Melbourne. Most deliveries arrive within 2–5 business days, with express delivery available at checkout.
Does the head need machining before installation?
No. Our cylinder heads are manufactured to OEM specifications and are supplied ready to fit, so machining should not be required before installation.
