2TR-FE Assembled Cylinder Head — Ready to Install
Brand-new assembled 2TR-FE cylinder head for Toyota Hiace and Hilux with a 2.7L 4-cylinder petrol engine with variable camshaft timing (VCT) on the inlet camshaft. Valves, springs, retainers and seals fitted. VRS head gasket set, TTY head bolts and 2 x water pipes included. Professionally assembled, valve-to-seat compression tested, and head face checked and refaced if necessary.
Fits: Toyota Hiace and Hilux (2005 onwards) — Engine code 2TR-FE, 2TRFE, 2.7L petrol with variable camshaft timing (VCT) on inlet camshaft only. Suits both 6-bolt and 8-bolt exhaust manifold models.
Important: This head is compatible with inlet VCT models only. From 2015 onwards, some Hiace and Hilux models were fitted with VCT on both camshafts — this head does not suit those dual VCT models. If you are unsure which version you have, please contact us before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to swap my camshafts across?
Yes — camshafts, lifters and rocker arms are not included. Transfer your original components from the old head to the new one as part of the installation process.
How do I know if I have the inlet VCT or dual VCT model?
Most 2TR-FE engines from 2005–2015 use VCT on the inlet camshaft only. From 2015 onwards, some models were updated to dual VCT (both camshafts). If you are unsure, check your engine code suffix or contact us — we can help confirm fitment before you order.
Are the head bolts reusable?
No — the 2TR-FE uses torque-to-yield (TTY) stretch bolts which are single-use only. New bolts are included in this kit.

Are the cylinder heads supplied assembled?
Most are supplied assembled, with the camshaft, valves, springs and seals already fitted so they are ready for installation. Some applications require the original camshaft and rocker gear to be transferred across. Confirm the details in the ‘What’s Included’ section for the product you are viewing.
What will I receive with my order?
The contents vary by application. Most complete cylinder-head kits include the assembled head, a VRS gasket set and new head bolts. Some products require reuse of the original camshaft and rockers. For engines using an MLS gasket, we supply the thickest available specification. Gasket-set-only products include the head gasket, manifold gaskets, valve stem seals, rocker cover gasket, head bolts and required O-rings. Check the product’s ‘What’s Included’ section for the exact contents.
What warranty is included?
Every cylinder head includes a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. We carefully select our heads and stand behind the quality supplied.
How can I confirm it fits my vehicle?

How quickly will my order arrive?

No. Our cylinder heads are manufactured to OEM specifications and are supplied ready to fit, so machining should not be required before installation.
