Camshaft installed with shim bucket tappets and valve clearances preset, valves, springs, retainers and seals fitted. MLS head gasket set and TTY head bolts included. Professionally assembled, valve-to-seat compression tested, and head face checked and refaced if necessary.

Will this head fit my non-turbo 4M40?
Yes — the 4M40T turbo specification head fits both turbo and non-turbo 4M40 engines. The non-turbo head will not fit a turbo engine, so if you have a turbo model, this is the correct head regardless of whether you are replacing a turbo or non-turbo head.
Are the head bolts reusable?
No — the 4M40T uses torque-to-yield (TTY) stretch bolts, which are single-use only. New bolts are included in this kit.

Are the cylinder heads supplied assembled?
Most are supplied assembled, with the camshaft, valves, springs and seals already fitted so they are ready for installation. Some applications require the original camshaft and rocker gear to be transferred across. Confirm the details in the ‘What’s Included’ section for the product you are viewing.
What will I receive with my order?
The contents vary by application. Most complete cylinder-head kits include the assembled head, a VRS gasket set and new head bolts. Some products require reuse of the original camshaft and rockers. For engines using an MLS gasket, we supply the thickest available specification. Gasket-set-only products include the head gasket, manifold gaskets, valve stem seals, rocker cover gasket, head bolts and required O-rings.
